Subscribe in a Calendar App
Add to Calendar opens the calendar app of your choice.
| Calendar App | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Apple Calendar | Your Mac, iPhone or iPad asks to subscribe. Click Subscribe. |
| Google Calendar | Google Calendar opens in a new tab and asks to add the calendar. |
| Outlook | Outlook on the web opens in a new tab and asks to add the calendar. |
| Any other app | Copy the link and paste it where the app adds a calendar from the web. |
Each calendar app checks the link for changes on its own schedule.
Link Options
Each link keeps its own options. One team can have a link for every event and a link for games only.
- Name
- The link's name. Calendar apps show the team name and this name.
- Reminder
- Adds an alert before each event. Google Calendar ignores this setting.
- Event Types
- The kinds of events the link carries. Select at least one.
- Include Planned Events
- Carries events still marked Planned. Clear the box to carry only confirmed events.
- Include Canceled Events
- Carries canceled events with Canceled at the start of the title.
- Include Imported Events
- Carries events from the team's sources. Clear the box when families already subscribe to the league calendar.
- Team Names in Titles
- Puts the team's abbreviation at the start of each title.
- Links to Event Pages
- Adds each event's page address. Only coaches can open these pages.
What a Link Shows
A link carries the schedule and nothing about a player.
| Shown | Never Shown |
|---|---|
| Title, date and time | Roster and attendance |
| Location and its saved address | Notes and captures |
| The event's description | Practice plans |
| A game's side, sheet and locker room | Lineups and stats |
Anyone with the link sees the schedule without logging in. Search engines never list a link.
A calendar keeps events from the last 60 days.
Show on the Family Page
Show on Family Page puts a team link on the Family page.
- Who sees it
- Each parent or player with a player on the team roster.
- Private events
- An event set to Private stays off a link shown to families.
- New links
- A new team link starts with Show on Family Page on. A program link starts with it off.
- Organization links
- Never show on the Family page.
Organization Links
An organization link carries the events of many teams in one calendar.
- Covers
- Teams and Programs, Teams Only or Programs Only.
- Team Names in Titles
- Starts checked on an organization link. Each title then starts with its team.
Replace or Stop a Link
Both actions stop the current address. Calendars subscribed to the old address stop updating.
- New Link
- The arrow glyph beside the address. Gives the link a new address with the same options.
- Stop Sharing
- Stops the link. The link leaves the panel.
Each asks first. Click the red button in the band to confirm.
Send the new address to everyone who should keep the schedule.
