Who Sees Other Workspaces

The Other Workspaces tab appears on Drills and Plans when you belong to another workspace.

Staff
Sees the drills and plans of each other workspace where you are staff.
Family
A parent or player account sees no library.
Archived
An archived workspace does not appear. Archived drills and plans do not appear.
Signed in as
A platform operator signed in as you sees no other workspace.
Your role in each workspace decides what you may copy there. Copying into a library needs that library at Edit.

Browsing Another Workspace

Lists another workspace's library as cards for drills and as a table for plans.

  1. Click Drills or Plans in the menu.
  2. Click the Other Workspaces tab.
  3. Select a workspace above the list when you belong to several.
  4. Type in the filter box to narrow the list.
  5. Click a drill or a plan to open its page.

The page is read only. Nothing you do there changes the other workspace.

An empty library shows From Another Workspace among its ways to start. Click it to open the Other Workspaces tab.

Copying into This Workspace

Adds a copy of a drill or a plan to the workspace you are in.

  1. Open the drill or plan from the Other Workspaces tab.
  2. Click Copy to This Workspace.
  3. The copy opens in this workspace's library.

After a copy, the page shows Open Copy and Copy Again. Copy Again adds a second copy.

A plan's message counts its drills. The message names the drills copied with the plan and the drills already in the library.

Copying to Another Workspace

Sends a copy of your own drill or plan to another workspace.

  1. Open the drill or plan in this workspace's library.
  2. Click Export.
  3. Under Copy To, select the workspace. A message names where the copy went.
A copy holds the plan as last saved. Click Save first to include your changes.

Sending a File

Saves a drill or a plan as a Coach Binder file. Send the file to a coach in any workspace.

  1. Open the drill or plan in the library.
  2. Click Export File. With other workspaces, click Export, then Export File.
  3. Send the downloaded file by email or a shared drive.

A plan's file holds its drills, photos and paper pages. A drill's file holds its pictures, PDF and links.

Anyone who can open a drill or plan can export the drill or plan. The file holds no players or rosters.

Importing a File

Adds a drill or a plan from a Coach Binder file to this workspace.

  1. Click New Drill or New Plan, then From a File.
  2. Click Choose a File and select the file.
  3. Check the list of what the file holds.
  4. Click Import. The new drill or plan opens.
Version
Every imported drill and plan starts at version 1.
Drills in a plan
A drill named like an active drill in this library is marked Already Here. The plan uses that drill. The other drills are added as new drills.
Plan or drill already here
Marked Already Here when a plan or drill with the same name is in this library. Import still adds a second one.
Damaged file
A damaged or changed file adds nothing. Ask the sender to export the file again.

What a Copy Brings

A copy is a new drill or plan. Nothing links the copy to the original.

PartOn the Copy
Name, steps, tags, minutes and notes Copied as they are.
Pictures, PDF pages, DrillBoard diagrams and links Copied with the drill.
Version history Starts again at version 1.
A plan's drills Copied with the plan. A drill copied before is used again.
A plan's photos and paper pages Copied with the plan.
Progressions and where a drill was used Not copied.

Editing one drill or plan never changes the other. A plan copied back finds the drills it left with.

Copy Marks

Marks show where a copy came from.

Already Copied
Marks a drill or plan in another workspace that this workspace already holds a copy of.
Already Here
Marks a drill or plan in a file whose name this library already holds.
Copied From
Names the workspace a drill or plan came from. Members of that workspace see the name. Everyone else sees another workspace.

Archive a copy to clear its Already Copied mark.
