Kinds of Roster

A roster is the list of players on a team. Programs have rosters too. A program is a clinic, camp or training group that is not a team.

Who Is at an Event

An event's roster combines every source attached to the event, not only the team's roster.

Example An event with its team, a skills group and one guest attached. Each badge names a source and its count.
10U Blue · 15 Tuesday skills · 6 Guest · 1
# Player Status Reason
7 Sam Porter Present
12 Alex Moreno Late school bus
21 Jordan Lee Injured
  • Creating an event attaches its own team.
  • Use the Players panel on the Roster tab to attach another team, a program, a custom roster or a single player.
  • Each source counts its players on the event's date. The list leaves out a player who joined after that date or left before it.
  • The list shows a player on two sources once.
  • Phone notes match players only against these sources. See routing.
Detaching a source never erases attendance. Anyone with a recorded status stays on the list, under No Longer on an Attached Roster.

Dates on Rosters

A roster spot keeps its dates as history.

Start date
Every roster spot has a start date.
End date
A spot gets an end date when it ends.
Removing a player
Ends the spot. The roster keeps the ended spot.
Old practices
An old practice still shows who was on the team that day.
