The List

A skill is a word on a drill or a plan block, such as Breakouts.

Lists every skill on your drills, library plans and practices. Open Drills and select Skills at the top.

Skill
Click a name to open the skill's page.
Definition
What the skill means, written on the skill's page.
Drills
How many drills carry the skill.
Plans
How many library plans work the skill.
Practices
How many practices work the skill.
Search box
Type to search skill names and definitions.
Archived
Lists the skills taken out of the suggestions.

Adding a Skill

A skill exists once a drill or a block carries the skill.

  1. Open a drill, or a block in a plan.
  2. Type in the Skills box. A list shows the skills already in use, most used first.
  3. Select a skill from the list, or type a new skill and press Enter.
Select a skill from the list when one fits. The season planner counts Breakout and Breakouts as two skills.

A Skill's Page

Shows what one skill means and where the skill is used.

About
The definition and examples. Type one example on each line. Click Save.
Drills
Active drills with the skill, with each drill's other skills.
Plans
Library plans with a block or a drill that carries the skill.
Practices
Practices, training and off ice sessions whose plan works the skill, newest first.
Practices show only for teams where your role reads event plans. A role with Drill Library at Edit writes the definition.

Merging Two Skills

Joins two spellings of one skill, such as Breakout into Breakouts. A role with Drill Library at Full merges skills.

  1. Open the skill to merge away, such as Breakout.
  2. Click Merge.
  3. Select the skill to keep under Merge Into.
  4. Click Merge in the band.
RecordWhat Happens
Drills Each drill takes the kept skill and saves as a new version.
Library plans Keep their words. The words count under the kept skill.
Practices Keep their words. The words count under the kept skill.
Season planner Counts the merged skill as the kept skill.
Definition Moves to the kept skill if the kept skill has none.
A merge cannot be undone. The merged name opens the kept skill's page.

Archiving a Skill

Takes a skill out of the suggestions. Drills, plans and practices keep the skill. A role with Drill Library at Full archives skills.

  1. Open the skill and click Archive.
  2. Click Archive Skill in the band.
  3. To bring the skill back, open the skill from the Archived list and click Restore.
